• Engineered the mechanical design and development of the ASR product line. Product included 8 chassis, several line cards, PCB development, and power supplies. The ASR product line currently accounts for a $1 billion.
• Collaborated with system architects, marketing teams, and Hardware groups in the development of OEM designs and solutions. Managed and achieved schedules and budgets for mechanical product development.
• Designed plastic and metal molded parts for high volume demands, cosmetic bezels, and as a solution to spatial constraints.
• Defined mechanical requirements, created PCB outline, selected interface connectors for PCB and Backplanes.
• Managed builds with contract manufacturers; involved in all aspects including prototype, production, schedules, tooling, hard tool Vs. Soft tool, casting and molding evaluation. Cost models evaluated based on build.
• Directed development teams in India and China in implementing new designs. Teams internal and external to Cisco in both design and manufacturing environments. Evaluated designs, product requirements, managed effective.

• Lockheed Sanders, Inc. NH Anti-Submarine Division:
• Mechanical Designer for Naval systems; Designed large machined transducer arrays, High frequency transponder arrays, sonar-buoys, Floating electronic monitoring systems.
• Design challenges focused on; High power transmission and containment, Depth, pressures and corosive environmental requirements.
• Design tools used within Lockheed include CADAM, Pro-Engineer, SDRC-Ideas, AutoCAD.

Lead Design Engineer: Designed large structural steel wood grinder and conveyor systems for use in the pulp, paper and biomass industries. Machines are stand alone or part of a larger end solution, fixed and mobile configuration. Additional products included Trommel screens, vibratory screens and stump shears. Responsibilities included overall Design.

• Space Recorder Division
• Mechanical Designer for precision space recorders applied to satellite applications. Developed two recorders in parallel for the governments of Canada and India. Development team approximately 50 people.
• Design emphasis on Machined components, forgings, tight tolerance controls, weight considerations, Reliability and quality of design. Performed advanced tolerance studies covering several parts and assemblies.
• Configured performed document control and coordination of program effot between Management, Engineering, and Drafting.

• Electronic Warfare Division:
• Mechanical Designer for the electronic packaging of several Aircraft based electronic enclosures and components. Designed for Military applications per military specifications. Emphasis on RF design frequencies.
• Designed Shipboard and ground based Radar systems for multiple weapon systems. Designs focused on electronic packaging, rack systems, human ergonomics and spatial constraints. Worked closely with system engineers on.
• Designed ground based vehicle mounted radar systems (LAADS). Design emphasis on spatial constraints, power management, self-contained mobility, portable power systems. Hundreds of systems sold to foreign governments.
• Designed multiple test units for all systems worked on. Rack system and mobile trailer based applications.
