My tasks included development, maintenance, support for Customer Service representatives, streamlining technology solutions within print & ship warehouse, and adding software functionalities to improve the ordering-to-print life cycle in a fast-paced environment. Software solutions supported the ordering, previewing, and manufacturing of various print needs, from business cards and restaurant menus to large-format billboards.

Day-to-day programming tasks were based on planetary research needs, and so the ability to solve problems and be agile was critical. Developed custom application to parse and display imagery from the Cassini spacecraft's Visual and Infrared Mapping Spectrometer (VIMS). I then extended this functionality to create image filtering based on scientific attributes. After obtaining a firm grasp on the VIMS binary data format, I created a tool to parse through thousands of datasets to ingest into a SQL database. This allowed my scientists to run queries against their data archives for the first time. I provided SQL training in the interim as I developed an intranet website to query from.
