System Administrator James E Rogers Department of Mass Communication Aug 2008 – June 2012• Managed Mac OS, Windows XP, and Windows 7 clients and servers.• Spearheaded a change from an outdated Roxio Retrospect based backup system to a new, state of the art backup system from Tolis Group.• Migrated all student workstations from a local student account to a new single sign on service via Open directory and Mac OS X server. I was the video editor for the Instructional Technology Resource Center at Idaho State University for three years. I edited and compressed educational videos using Final Cut Pro, Sony Vegas, and Adobe Premiere, and prepared videos for streaming via Adobe Flash, QuickTime and Real Player formats. I also converted educational videos from Real Player to a flash-based format for streaming and used Adobe Media Encoder and Episode from Grass Valley to prepare final content for the internet.
