Over two years of simulations using tNavigator I have developed: Evaluation of economic and technical indicators in the optimization of oil producing wells to understand the performance of a mature oil field under different operating conditions, I have analyzed the economic indicators (net present value, internal rate of return) and technical indicators (production rate, the water cut, and the reservoir pressure) to find out the most effective way to optimize oil wells considering the effects of wellbore diameter, pump type, and reservoir pressure. I also developed a new strategy for planning the completion and location of wells in a mature field that is based on these principles.
