I am responsible for east warehousing which encompasses the Houston, Jacksonville, Jersey and Chicago fulfillment centers.

• Responsible for the logistics side of operating the Inbound & Outbound functions of the Distribution Center. Departments include Receiving, Put-away, Picking, Shipping, Returns, Faulty, Store Fixtures, and e-commerce. • Staff is a combination of Full-Time and Temporary employees which vary in volume depending on company needs, with 5 Supervisors assisting me on day to day operations. We operate under a ship complete policy that dictates al Receiving is processed and put-away same day, all Retail and Internet orders are picked packed and shipped same day. • We Service 40 stores nationwide plus one in Toronto with daily deliveries, via UPS or LTL. Along with all internet orders which range from 200 to 2500 per day.Assist with the logistics side of closing down a store as well as all new store openings in the US.• Handle all store fixtures movement to stores or back to DC by coordinating with trucking company.• Maintain a high level of communication and cooperation with all aspects of the business such as Merchandising, Retail Ops, Customer Service, Store Design and others, in order to ensure that company's and customer needs are being met in a timely and cost effective manner.• Work with Supervisors on Quality, Production and Inventory levels and expectations in order to provide employees with tools necessary to succeed, while providing a high level of service to our customers. Document daily efficiency numbers in order to create and implement continuous improvement plans to lower our cost per unit and manage labor levels• Responsible on maintaining logs on all equipment and keeping them in good working order by establishing PM's • Establish and enforce policies that are consistent with company guidelines.• Authored and implemented Safety Guidelines and procedures.• Coordinate with Supervisors on Daily and Weekly needs in order to staff accordingly while setting priorities

• Assisted in managing team members to areas of need based on operational needs• Responsible for ensuring that the rack and hinges department had enough packaging supplies for the day every day, as well as functioning equipment• Trained and ensured that team members stayed or exceeded production standards in an hourly basis, and make staffing adjustments based on productivity needs.• Helped team members with any quality issues or packaging inquiries, while working with quality control and shipping departments• Founded the MOP team (major order processing team), we took large specialty orders (high dollar, international, or high priority) off-line and filled, packaged and shipped in order to ensure high quality and personalization.• Worked on streamlining the hinge department in order to help with the flow of orders from filling to shipping stages

• Responsible for the Packaging, Shipping and Bulk (Order processing) departments. I also have joint-responsibility for our 2 pick modules, 4 sorter machines, and wave bank.• Responsible for insuring that our backlog of orders stays within 24 hour policy, and that all of our daily shipping requirements are met by our 9 pm cut-off time.• Ensure that all ISO policies are being followed, as well as up-to-date• Verify that all our LTL orders are picked, consolidated, staged, and processed properly. While working with Traffic coordinator to make scheduled delivery times.• Oversee the allocation for all our sorters, LTL, and parcel orders, based on ship-date and cut-off time.• Help coordinate priorities and responsibilities among the other 3 shifts, to insure that all customer needs are being met.• Monitor the packing department to insure that all packages are being processed based on priority, as well as have proper documentation and labeling. Especially international shipments.

Oversaw daily activities of 30+ union employees including monitoring and documenting performance; handling counseling and disciplinary actions; timesheets; interacting with the union in regard to grievances; day-to-day troubleshooting and problem-solving.Responsible for 135,000 square foot warehouse storing inventory totaling $4.5 million; and multiple areas including the receiving, quality control, packaging and shipping departments.Responsible for ensuring daily production goals were met; special requests processed and overall department goals satisfied; while satisfactory servicing 24 customers.
