Analyze Methocel for residual 1-chloro-2-propanol and 2-chloro-1-propanol by GC-MS in order to generate product release information. Perform troubleshooting and maintenance on analytical equipment: including Agilent 7890 GCs, and Bluehill Instrons. Write new procedures and update existing procedures for technicians to use while performing everyday tasks. Complete the MOC (Management of Change) process for procedure modifications and train employees on the changes to the procedures. Work on Press Flow project with the Analytical Specialist to ensure the pressure applied to the top of the sample is the same throughout the sample. Perform various analyses abiding by cGMP guidelines for certain product release tests. Work on utilizing previously established methods or develop methods for project work as needed. Support the implementation of a better way for the lab to handle hazardous waste within the lab.

Primary supervisor of seven individuals within the department as Analytical Team Lead. Analyzed sorbent tube samples and liquid waste samples for chemical warfare agents GB, VX and HD to verify air quality of the facility was safe for all employees onsite and liquid waste samples are safe for offsite shipment. Used team building to motivate staff to improve accuracy of data submitted to the client by reducing errors by 75%. Created and modified new GC methods to analyze for chemical warfare agent HD. Participated in Precision and Accuracy studies to certify new methods of analysis using the program Certify. Trained other employees on safety, including proper use of PPE, good laboratory practices (GLP) and how to analyze sorbent tubes for chemical warfare agents GB, VX and HD.
