I have worked with youth for over 10 years, first as a mentor and tutor while an undergraduate at the University of Texas, and later as an elementary and middle school teacher and the director of a community arts program. I have two Masters degrees, one in Art Education from New York University, and another in Special Education, from American University. My experience has taught me that students grow and develop best when they are significantly challenged and engaged in learning experiences designed to fit their individual strengths and needs.I have a passion for learning that is contagious, and a passion for helping each student meet their full potential. As a Varying Exceptionalities Pre-K Teacher I serve as the lead classroom instructor, as well as, case manager for young children (ages 3-5) with moderate to severe developmental delays and language impairments in a blended classroom. In addition, to managing Individual Education Plans (IEP) and coordinating support services for my students, I also design hands-on lessons that use TS Gold's Creative Curriculum content as a springboard for small and whole group activities and projects.

WonderLab Learning is a membership-based, supplemental learning lab for upper elementary to middle school-aged children 9 to 14. As a mentor guide I play a critical role in providing an individualized learning experience that fosters creativity, ingenuity and wonder.
