Hi, it's scary starting a new career when you have been in one industry for over 25 years. I am a Certified Nurse Aide and have been for almost 30 years. I chose that profession because I enjoy caring for others, especially the elderly. So, unfortunately, I became physically unable to work in the hospital and nursing home setting. This event, lead me to pursue more of the things I was trying to learn on my own.I am an Entry Level, IT Support Specialist, it has been one of the greatest decisions, I've made on returning to school. I have always been a person who enjoys learning. This field is a great opportunity to continually learn and evolve with the computers. I also, can still help people but in a different industry. I hope I have inspired some people with my story it's not over yet. I will be able to share my new position once training is complete and certification earned. The old cliche is wrong, you can teach old dogs new tricks if their mind is still young to learn.
