I currently teach as an Intervention Specialist at the high school level and have been teaching for 10 years. I love helping people, especially teenagers and I truly have a passion for learning. My teaching background has allowed me to develop my knowledge of intellectual, physical, emotional, and social needs of a diverse population and a wide range of subject matter. My experience also includes managing different types of classroom settings and working closely with administrators, peers and parents has required me to have strong organizational and effective communication skills, as well as an attention to detail in writing IEP's. This position and experience has also developed my leadership skills with my peers as well as growing my public speaking skills more. I have created and implemented PBIS awards for staff and students at the school and assisted administration with new staff and any other administrative duties they assign.I have experience coaching field hockey, basketball and lacrosse at the varsity level for high school.
