Orthodontic assistant~ Assisting the doctor in many different orthodontic & surgical cases. Taking X-rays, digital scans, alginate dental impressions, intraoral photographs, placing / removing orthodontic appliances and reviewing instructions and at home care. Treatment Coordinator~ Review treatment with parents/patients. Going over appliances being used and what they will accomplish, review treatment fee and finance options, review length of treatment and what to expect along the way, read and explain all photos and X-rays to patient/parent so they have a full understanding of their upcoming treatment.I also worked very closely with the doctor to create a detailed clinical procedure manual. Explaining step by step each and every clinical procedures done in the office. From what the tray setups should be, all the way to what should be reviewed with patient/parent at the end of the appointment.

Orthodontic Treatment Coordinator, reviewing treatment plans with parents in patients in a full overview. Including appliances being used and why, billing, timeline of treatment, and a step by step explanation of what to expect during each individual course of treatment. Coordinating oral surgeries with orthodontic treatment. Working closely with local oral surgeons and other medical/dental professionals on treatment cases. In charge of all office matters including (but not limited to) staffing, scheduling, billing, and all office/patient needs. Scheduling meeting with other dental/medical professionals to review orthodontic cases. Planned our annual patient appreciation day at Santa Monica pier. Helped design and setup second office, in a new location. Designing a multifunctional pediatric/orthodontic office in Manhattan Beach, CA.. Helped the design team create a multifunctional office/work space. Built clientele and staff for new location, along with educating staff in office procedures, before moving back to Boston, MA.

A large variety of skills that developed through the years. Starting in the early years with tray setups, sterilization of instruments and equipment, confirming appointments, setting up charts for the day, and other basic skills. Through the years it developed into a career of assisting in dental/orthodontic procedures and office management.Responsibilities included, but not limited to; staffing, scheduling, X-rays (taking, developing, and reading), ordering office and clinical supplies, assisting in orthodontic and dental procedures, creating and implementing productive office procedures, billing and working with insurance companies, building patient clientele, and office management. Going to annual meetings to refine and update skills in clinical treatment and office management. Educated staff in all office procedures and created an office manual as a reference guide before moving to Los Angeles, CA.
