BHT's carry out specific behavioral and emotional interventions that have been identified in clients treatment plans, in the community as well as their homes. Requires trust and respect of the child, teachers, parents, families and other community based staff in order to communicate and transfer appropriate interventional skills. BHT's support the emotional and behavioral needs of the child and family by transferring appropriate interventional skills to the child, parents, family, teachers and other care givers to eliminate socially inappropriate, threatening or dangerous behaviors. BHT's teach the child the skills needed to be successful by providing immediate rewards or consequences for their behaviors. Record data throughout the session to input into the data, assessment and plan note for each session for every child. Manage time effectively, scheduling/cancelling sessions, punctuality, excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization and basic technological skills using an IPad. Data is entered into client files on the Credible website. Paychex and Relias were also used for training and payroll. Ability to work independently is crucial, out in communities, schools and homes with little to no interactions with supervisors and other management teams.
