Eric specializes in the areas of retirement planning, IRAs, pensions, and qualified retirement plans such as 401(k), 403(b), and Simple IRAs. Also, Eric has a special interest in “faith-based investing” investing.Eric started in the financial business with IDS Financial Services (now Ameriprise Financial Advisors). He then worked for a number of Wall Street investment firms in New York, including Lehman Bros, Dreyfus, and Sterling Securities. In 1992, he moved back to his hometown, Johnstown, and signed on with Parker/Hunter, Inc., a regional brokerage firm based in Pittsburgh, PA. He was with the firm for nine years and earned the title of Executive Vice President. In 2001, he, along with Barry Thomas, started Kabler/Thomas Financial Group in 2001.In 2023, Eric felt a strong conviction to establish a financial advising firm dedicated exclusively to Faith-Based financial investment services. Joined by Dan Shaffer and David Wilhelm, they collectively launched Christ-Centered Investing, a firm rooted in Christian principles and committed to aligning clients' investments with their faith.Also, Eric is an ordained minister with the Church of the Brethren denomination, and currently has his license with the Moxham Church of the Brethren in Johnstown, PA. Locally, Eric is runs in many of the local charity 5K races, Christian Business Assoc., belongs to the Chamber of Commerce, Slippery Rock Alumni Assoc, Solomon Run Firemans Club, and a regular blood donor at the American Red Cross.
