Getting to ride world-class singletrack with positive, excited kids is extremely gratifying. I have created such powerful connections with my riders, kids who will also be protecting and riding these trails for life! Getting paid to help others navigate my home mountain is such a blast and I am so grateful for the connections I have built.

As a business analyst and project coordinator for Resilient Jeffco, I collaborate with county departments to improve processes, develop and manage programs, and enhance service delivery. Using my creativity, I engaged with the Downtown Eastside community to help support the Climate Risks Project. Working with vulnerable communities in a new place was an extremely rewarding, hands-on experience and enabled me to see an immediate impact within a short amount of time.

This job required advanced communication, customer service, multi-tasking, and memory to succeed. I loved interacting with customers near the University of Denver community and working in a fast-paced, multi-position restaurant.

I started working for this on-campus start up company with the goal of helping them launch a revolutionary micro-donation app and Google Chrome extension. After a full year, I became a primary consultant for cause-based marketing techniques for environmental charities. I also created social media content and helped manage the Twitter page, worked as a Charity Selector, and created profiles on the chosen charities. PocketChange has now launched a Chrome-extension and app that creates a new button on websites, so readers can donate $.25 -$2 to causes that inspire them. While scrolling through the internet and reading an article, users can just click the PocketChange button and give to the charity that is best working toward the cause they are reading about. I provided customer service to up to 40 people at one time in a busy restaurant setting, using multi-tasking and communication skills. My experience at the Brick Oven was one of the most fun, fast-paced, and transformative jobs I have worked. It was my first experience in the restaurant industry, which helped me gain important people, problem-solving, and compartmentalization abilities.

OpenWorld Learning (OWL) was a nonprofit that provided disadvantaged elementary students access to coding software and technological development. I primarily worked as a marketing intern in the office, creating relevant marketing materials for potential funding sources and increasing overall awareness. I designed many newsletters, social media posts, blog posts, and flyers. Another component of my internship was to instruct elementary students on-site. I helped teach the students coding software through OWL's after-school program. Many of these children were refugees from foreign countries, opening my eyes to multiple cultures, languages, and experiences. This was a fantastic opportunity to engage with a diverse community, provide mentorship to children who need extra support, and empower this nonprofit to expand its reach.
