I am seeking to make a career change and would like to move away from the retail industry. While I have excelled in retail and retail management, I am interested in a professional position in which I can more fully utilize my educational background and experience. I have over twenty years experience in customer service, and retail management. I enjoy working with and leading people. My most recent retail position is as a department supervisor of the Print & Marketing department of Staples and Office Depot. Print & Marketing is a challenging department requiring operational excellence and the ability to produce quality products by specified deadlines. Multi-tasking and attention to detail are essential for success. Daily, fifteen to forty or more customer projects must be managed and produced using limited time and resources. Critical to success is client relationships. Building and maintaining relationships with the small business community and sustaining a reputation in that community as a go-to resource, has resulted in my department being one of the top Print & Marketing departments in the company. My philosophy is to focus not only on the current sale, but to turn the one-time customer into a life-long customer, through exceptional customer service and personal integrity. Proving I value his or her business interests as if they were my own. When I make a commitment to my customers, they are confident, I will ensure his or her project is done right and on-time, every time. I believe this confidence is best illustrated by the fact that many of my customers from Office Depot followed me to Staples. I have a Bachelor of Arts in History from Wright State University, graduating with a 3.59 GPA. I made the Dean’s List for six of eight quarters maintaining a 4.0 GPA. I also have an Associate of Applied Business Degree in Paralegal Studies, graduating second in my class with a 3.94 GPA. I have been recognized by multiple honor societies for outstanding academic performance.
