I am a Behavioral Health Professional and Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor (LADC) with a communication, social justice, and advocacy background. My journey from a career in business to the field of mental health and substance use disorder counseling has been driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact on individuals' lives. I am dedicated to promoting harm-reduction approaches and providing holistic support to clients with complex needs. I can leverage my unique combination of skills and experiences to contribute to a more compassionate and effective treatment landscape for those affected by substance use and co-occurring disorders. My Master's degree in Integrated Behavioral Health & Addiction Studies at the University of Minnesota is predicated on evidence-based practices, harm reduction principles, and crisis interventions. In my work as an Advocate & Crisis Specialist at the Sexual Violence Center, I provide trauma-informed care to survivors of sexual violence. I have also been recognized with the 2023 Gustafson Family Advocacy Award for my efforts in supporting individuals who have experienced sexual violence.In addition to my clinical work, I bring strong leadership skills, strategic thinking, and an appreciation for the complexities of human behavior from my corporate background. These skills enable me to build trust with clients and help them achieve positive outcomes in their recovery journey.
