I am a development engineer with 30 years of experience in process, product and material development.I have developed several materials (sol-gel coatings, inorganic cement), processes (spinning, spraying, curing, inorganic cement and UV-glue bonding processes) and products (several lamp platforms for projector lamps) and I have transferred all of this to international production sites in Asia, Mexico and Europe. I also have on site experience in process commissioning, process and product documentation, and training/coaching of operators and engineers. Working with many international customers, suppliers, and colleagues has taught me to work and manage people from various cultural backgrounds. My strength as a project leader is my ability to stay calm in stressful situations, my persistence to solve any problem, my clear communication and reporting skills and my resolve in finding pragmatic solutions in any situation. Throughout my projects, I have been working with Design for Six Sigma (DfSS), which is a very powerful tool to structure project activities, either for breakthrough improvement of existing processes and products, or for the development of entirely new systems. DfSS is a step by step program that helps focussing on the right activities and supports fact based decision making. DfSS comes with a large set of tools like FMEA, DoE, Hypothesis testing, Reliability testing, Process control, Process capability analysis, Measurement system analysis etc, all of which I have experience with. Most of these tools generate a set of data that require advanced statistical analysis to transfer it into meaningful information in order to make sound fact based decisions. My statistical knowledge is based on several high level training programs that helps me to get maximum information out of this data. Besides the DfSS tools, I am familiar with Value Engineering and Shainin tools, that allow me to handle any technical challenge in the most cost efficient way.
Listed skills include Dmaic, Fmea, Design Of Experiments, Coatings, and 14 others.

Turnhout - Belgium
I have defined the development and test plan for high power projection lamps. I managed the technical activities within the project team, did the statistical analysis of the test results (i.e. DoE and reliability testing), as well as the reporting to management and international customers in Asia (Japan, China and Taiwan).
Turnhout - Belgium
I have managed a project team to develop two new lamp concepts for projector lamps. For these projects I have used the DfSS (DIDOV) methodology, Value engineering and Lean manufacturing. Furthermore I have developed the related assembly processed with inorganic cement and UV hardened glue. I have transferred these products and processes to the mass.
Turnhout Belgium
I have developed new inorganic cement material, in close cooperation with the cement supplier, including the related assembly process. I have transferred these new material and processes to the mass production site in China which resulted in a significant waste reduction.
Eindhoven Area, Netherlands
I was involved with starting up three factories for Cathode Ray Tubes (CRT) in China, Mexico and Czech Republic. Here I was responsible for the photo-lithographic 'Matrix' process consisting of some 20 process steps in a clean room environment. I was responsible for the preparation of equipment and process specifications, on-site commisioning and start-up.
Eindhoven
I have developed a complete new process for applying anti-static and anti-reflection coatings on a CRT, including substrate cleaning, substrate conditioning, spinning, spraying and curing of the coating layers. I have transferred more than 10 coating lines to mass production sites in Taiwan, Austria, Germany and France, including training to engineers and.
