Initially wrote specifications for a JobVite-like system.• In ’05, moved to a technical role building APIs and fixing bugs in a Java scraper that parsed job listings from employer websites to build a job search engine. • Managed offshore team that created and tested the regex files for each employer website.• Helped launch Jobster's career network on Facebook (one of the first Facebook platform apps)Jobster pursued many good ideas but didn't fully pivot when an idea wasn't working. The board scaled up in-person sales and marketing too soon, hiring 50 enterprise sales people before realizing that only Telesales was sustainable. Few companies can recover from laying off 34% of their staff months after moving into huge new offices, and Jobster was no exception. The lessons from Jobster helped the founding team build successful companies at Fab.com, Urbanspoon, Bacon Salt, and RealSelf.

In 1996, built websites for the launch of IE 3.0, which launched CSS, JavaScript and plug-ins (ActiveX).MetaBridge pivoted from a consulting company to a product company (Netpodium) with a WebEx-like product available as SaaS. Netpodium was bought by INTERVU in 1999, which was bought by Akamai. Akamai shut down the WebEx-like service during the dot-com bust.
