Business Systems Manager
Manage development, implementation, training, and rollout of labor and inventory systems. Through partnering with key business heads in the operations, training, finance, IT, HR, and legal departments we made vital improvements that enhanced managerial knowledge and reduce back-of-house (BOH) management needs. The main premise of this position is to allow improvements to flow through to better-trained managers and staff. Through this, we can ensure the focus is on the customer experience and our employees. Realizations in these areas improve our restaurant performance and brand value. My primary focus has been on rolling out a labor suite that focuses on forecasting, employee scheduling, and payroll. This includes integrating all people data from our HR systems to the BOH and POS systems. Testing the software in multiple restaurant markets, and working with the vendor for modifications and developments. Ensuring all appropriate data points are replicated into our data warehouse, and working closely with our BI team to develop reporting that allows the field to operate to the best ability. Additionally, a level of reporting was required for our field leaders to better guide our operators. Finally, I assembled a rollout plan, which was then approved and implemented. All GMs and Field Leaders were trained and system changes documented. With the minimal burden on operations, this timely rollout was called the new standard for large-scale restaurant rollouts. During this process, our IT Support staff was trained to handle tier 1 and 2 support. Tier 3 support remained under me during all phases of testing, implementation, and production. Additionally, this position has allowed me to take on additional projects with breaks and payroll to reduce legal liability and ensure compliance companywide.
