• CS Hedging Griffo is a major Brazilian hedge fund firm, managing over US$ 25 Billion in assets. I worked directly with fund managers to oversee and monitor the firms’ exposure to market risks.
• Held weekly meetings with the company’s board of directors to report and discuss the firm’s trading books' risk exposure
• Led the conception and specification of the firm’s value at risk (VaR) methodology, regulatory capital allocation and other firm-wide risk / capital initiatives
• Analyzed complex structured products and derivatives, such as options pricing, futures, forwards, swaps and FX (foreign exchange)

Sao Paulo - Brazil

• Unibanco (later merged with Itau bank) is the largest retail bank in the southern hemisphere. I worked at the Treasure department to oversee and manage the bank’s trading books’ risk exposure.
• Conducted daily analysis of the various trading desks operations (fixed income, foreign exchange and equities) including pricing modelling, sensitivity measures / Greeks, value at risk (VaR) and stress tests
• Developed and maintained a scenario analysis and stress testing Excel-based tool (programming in VBA - Visual Basic for Applications)
• Facilitated the implementation of an intranet-based system to map and manage operational risks, ensuring compliance with the Basel II accord

• Working at the Controller’s office, with a focus on cost analysis and pricing strategy.
• Evaluated strategic opportunities for new vehicle segments in the Brazilian market
• Defined pricing strategy for the product mix

• Wallnuts was one of the first climbing and trekking equipment retailers in Brazil, later acquired by Pe na Trilha (‘feet on the trail’), currently a key player in the category.
• Responsible for operations and financial planning, yielding a turnover of US$ 150,000

• USIMINAS is one of the largest steel producers in the Americas.
• Built financial models to evaluate CAPEX projects such as a new continuous casting system (US$ 95 Million) and modernisation of the hot mill (US$ 110 Million)
• Collaborated on complex structured finance projects, including the issue of US$ 300 Million in Eurobonds
