I provided legal services to each of these companies. Here I learned to understand the company's business objectives and not just focus on legal procedures. I became much more client focused. - Negotiated and drafted leases, and arranged real estate closings, for large commercial properties throughout Southeast Michigan . - Managed the environmental issues for the recycling facility and became a DEQ certified storm water operator. - Successfully sued and collected build-to-suit costs from a global automotive parts supplier after lease negotiations failed. - Rewrote one division's employee manual to comply with Michigan employment laws and policies.- Represented the company in real estate matters, collections cases and other commercial disputes. - Won a preliminary injunction and temporary restraining order against a former employee for violation of a non-competition agreement. - Successfully evicted a national cellular phone company from antennae site after failure to pay rent.

Representative accomplishments:- Handled written discovery & depositions, motion practice and trial preparations for 3-year, multi-million dollar arbitration between two Fortune 500 companies regarding an EPC Construction contract for a 710 MW electric plant in southeast Michigan.- Advised client on implementation of new reporting procedures created by NHTSA and the TREAD Act.- Created a letter of credit financing arrangement for export of pharmaceuticals to the Middle East. - Extensive research and writing on electronic discovery issues, trade secrets litigation, creditor remedies, and international letters of credit. - Achieved favorable settlement from the Michigan Department of Corrections in a pro bono prisoners’ rights case. - Coordinated multi-state collections efforts with out-of-state counsel.
