Roles:• Care for, shepherd, protect and guard the Church of God• Educate, teach and lead the church to do her mission of evangelism• Reach and win souls to Christ• Cooperate with the district Pastor in preparing for baptism• Organizing Bible Studies and Spiritual programs to nurture people in Matuu District• Visiting the sick, the bereaved, disheartened and the discouraged with the aim of offering comfort and support.• Fostering unity among members• Fostering and encouraging fellowship among members• Teaching systematic benevolence and by example showing it to members• Cooperating with the district/field leadership in carrying out the planned church functions• Doing any other job assigned by the district pastor/ field leadership

Roles:• Support the Senior Pastor in the overall vision casting and leadership of the church’s teaching and Sabbath and Midweek service planning, design and execution. Developing goals and objectives for the ministry area in line with the strategic plan.• Communicate with and handle all outside speakers, including securing manuscripts, coordinating travel arrangements and requesting honorarium payments.• Function as second/back up speaker to the Senior Pastor with an “emergency sermon” always at the ready.• Function as owner and champion of all external marketing activities maximizing attendance of special outreach focused events and key evangelistic sermon series.• Organize and lead the church’s regional, national and international mission efforts including annual mission trips for the Youths.• Lead weekly bible study with elders. A spiritual leader to the elders that encourages, challenges and holds them accountable to their walk with God both at an individual and group level • Provides coaching, evaluation, mentoring, and bible teaching to church members• Know the congregation by showing intense interest in them. This will include getting to know personal and family stories of the active members of the church• Collaborate with the senior pastor in designing and upholding a ministry structure based on the church current goals and resources.• Identify strategic opportunities for partnership with other local churches and community based organizations in the advancement of the gospel in the city.• Provide pastoral care to congregants as needed.• Preach as necessary. • Perform other duties as assigned by the senior Pastor
