Performed a product owner role to develop the digital banking proposition of Lloyd's GEM platform with key focus on the development of a set of bilateral cash management APIs.

• Accountable for the closure of part of the GTS organisation and its activities.• Results: customers migrated to other banks, products closed down, vendor contracts terminated and staff have left the organisation. Result has been achieved within set timeframe of 2 years.• As manager of the Dutch Product Management Team (20 FTE) had direct responsibility for coaching staff through a journey were eventually all staff are asked to leave the organisation, while keeping them motivated to execute the closure activities.

• Responsible for the development of the strategy for the GTS cash management organisation and the translation into product/system changes.• Was business lead in a study with McKinsey to develop and analyse strategic business options• Developed the strategy for GTS channels in RBS as part of a business transformation programme. Translated the channel vision and strategy into an execution approach, performed vendor selections and defined the development of a number of prototypes.

Amsterdam Area, Netherlands

• Lead business representative of a programme to relocate over 600 applications from the Netherlands to the UK. Was responsible for the definition of the migration and test approach and was part of the executive decision committee during the execution weekend. This programme has been successfully executed with minimal client impact.

• Manager of a team of 15 product managers with the responsibility to develop, maintain and support the global cash channels and a number of regional cash channels.• Have developed these products to a global top 3 position as rated by Greenwich. A number of large customer contracts have been one by implementing customer requirements on time (e.g. increasing the transaction volume by a factor 5 in a single year)• An internally focussed result was completing the separation between RBS and ABN AMRO. A clone needed to be created of the main cash channel and the customers had to be migrated to the channel of their future bank

• Manager of the team that had to develop the cash web channel. At peak moments the team size was around 30 FTE with an annual budget of 30 million Euro.• Have performed this role from implementation with the first customers to a robust platform servicing thousands of clients and processing millions of transactions. The channel was developed to cover cash functionality of over 50 countries• Besides managing the solution design, responsibilities also included commercial introduction with customers as well as migration of customers from legacy channels to the new solution

• Manager of a team of 5 people that focussed on the development of new business opportunities for ABN AMRO in the eCommerce space.• Have implemented the Identrus solution (bank agnostic identity management solution) within ABN AMRO as well as its use in ABN AMRO products. Supported the ABN AMRO board member in the Identrus company on strategic decisions and management of ABN AMRO’s investment in the company.

• Worked as IT Architect for ABN AMRO on a security initiative to develop a standard layer of cryptographic services to be used by all business applications.• Developed the core specifications of the Identrus solution working with security experts of a number of global banks.

Uithoorn, The Netherlands

• Manager of a team of 5 people with responsibility for the overall functional architecture of IBM’s internal accounting and finance systems. • Key achievement was a lead role in the re-engineering of the systems landscape. Over 70 independent country environments were migrated to a standard set of accounting systems and a redefined accelerated accounting closure process running out of 5 regional data centres. In addition a financial data warehouse was implemented, which was used as the golden source for corporate and divisional reporting.

• Worked as IT specialist and IT project manager in various projects• Key achievement was the development of a rule based interface module specifically focussed on implementing financial control requirements. Developed this solution to become a key component in IBM’s financial systems landscape globally and technically developed it to process over 1 million transaction per hour.• Developed an all-round skill set in software development and IT operations. Examples of roles performed are: business analyst, software design and programming, project librarian, database analyst, tester/test manager, project manager and implementation manager.
