I contract with high schools in US and abroad to help integrate effective literacy strategies. I advise on curriculum development, create and test quantitative and qualitative assessments, support integration of technology, including the development of online teaching and blended learning strategies, and create structures to support and sustain professional development for teachers.

Piloted and researched new professional development initiatives at the Center for the Professional Education of Teachers. Secured funding, hired, trained, and oversaw staff for new projects.

Literacy Unbound convenes teachers and students together as creative collaborators to research and reimagine literary response through multimodal meaning-making.

Built and implemented a student publishing program serving secondary students and teachers. Raised seed funding. Forged collaborations with regional and national partners. Facilitated and oversaw the iterative development of product and service designs. Developed and tested quantitative and qualitative assessments.

As a doctoral student I taught five classes per year in Composition Studies, Curriculum Methods, and Writing Workshop. Coordinated MA student teaching program.

Led a network of over 3,000 New York City educators integrating writing across the curriculum in kindergarten- through-college settings. Responsible for grant writing, fundraising and reporting. Developed partnerships between university and collaborating schools. Trained and managed staff of instructional leaders. Advanced technology integration across the network. Taught summer institutes in writing and composition studies.
