The project is funded by the US Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).Project: "Multiplex HIV Drug Resistance and Viremia Screening in Kenya".My role as a Research Scientist and Co-Investigator includes performing the following tasks:• Multiplex real-time Polymerase Chain Reaction (qPCR) assays.• DNA and RNA isolation using QIAGEN Extraction Kit.• DNA Sequencing using Sanger and Next Generation Sequencing (NGS). • Analysis of the DNA sequences using RECall software and Stanford University HIV Drug Resistance Database.• Training and guiding student interns and postgraduate researchers.• Quality Control and Quality Assurance (QC/QA). -
