Lead all day-to-day accounting and finance operations of a $1.2 million operating budget and provide leadership to a team of 2 full-time and 1 part-time accounting staff members.- Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and financial reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate GAAP standards and regulatory requirements.- Maintain internal control and safeguards for receipt of revenue, costs, and budget and actual expenditures.- Coordinate all audit activity and tax preparation activity in collaboration with audit and tax professionals.- Analyze financial data and present financial reports; communicate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements; monitor progress and changes and keep team abreast of the Foundation financial status.- Lead the annual budgeting and planning process; administer and review all financial plans and compare to actual results with a view to identify, explain, and correct variances as appropriate.- Engage the board and committees around issues and trends in financial operating models and delivery. - Oversee all project and program accounting; ensure that expenditures are consistently aligned with gift agreements and program allocations throughout the fund period.- Manage organizational cash flow forecasting by worki9ng in partnership with the Foundation and University leadership.- Collaborate to oversee the management and tracking of the performance of invested assets in keeping with policies and investment guidelines. - Provide leadership in strengthening internal communications with staff at all levels throughout the organization; create and promote a positive and supportive work environment.
