As the accounting specialist for Morning Grind, my responsibilities include:- Designing an in-depth cost accounting system to track financial performance- Forecast potential revenue and orders using data-backed analysis- Work closely with team of ten to cover complex business strategies and unique scenarios- Create a complete master budget to measure performance and costs

As Treasurer of the Beta Beta chapter of Pi Kappa Phi, I am responsible for handling all financial activity that is related to my chapter. This includes tasks such as budgeting, planning, paying bills, communicating with members, and more. With a central position in my chapter, my position is crucial to the success and activity that occurs throughout the year. From working with the national organization itself to speaking with my fellow members, my activities greatly vary, which means that I must constantly be on top of things and ready to perform.

As an internal audit intern, I will be a part of a team tasked with prioritizing control testing to ensure proper business operations. Throughout this experience, I will attend meetings, perform control testing, collaborate with team members, and analyze business processes all related to Raymond James Financial.

As a Portfolio Analyst Intern, I am responsible for creating financial reports by analyzing different client portfolios. This requires me to be very detail oriented and focused within my role. Additionally, participate in research and analytics of investment opportunities, regarding stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, etc. I also happen to to working with a great team around me, which requires me to be communicative and clear while interacting with others. This is a great opportunity for me, and I look forward to working with them further!

As a Starbucks barista, I was able to perform several different tasks, such as restocking supplies, making drinks/heating up food items, communicating with others, interacting with customers, and cleaning my area. This made it so I became well practiced when it came to multi-tasking and organization.Additionally, I properly coordinated with my team to ensure quick service and quality products.

This course is primarily revolved around a mock Shark Tank Competition where students must theorize a mock product and create a business plan surrounding it. As someone who has previously participated in the project, I had the necessary knowledge and skills to mentor those who were doing the same project. I spoke with students in a personable and approachable manner. Seeing as I was in there shoes once, I had first hand experience with what they were working on and the steps that would lead to success. This perspective enabled me to provide critical feedback, which would assist them in achieving their final product.

Working for a facility management company, I had the responsibility of reaching out to former ISPs (Independent Service Providers) to inquire about their compliancy with our terms and conditions. For most cases, ISPs would have expired paperwork with our system which would hinder us from offering them potential jobs. This is where I would reach out to them to see if they were still interested in working with us and request any paperwork that they were missing to make them compliant. I would call and/or email them and then record my interactions using an excel sheet to stay organized. This was a great opportunity for me to become experienced with a professional environment, and it allowed me to improve my speaking skills and work with others.
