The role is as a design and commissioning process engineer for different projects in the beverage environment – Main Clients being ABInbev and Distell. Main activities and responsibilities are:- Scoping & DesignClient/Stakeholder liaison to review stakeholder needs, in order to develop conceptual design for a specific design or to develop future CAPIN plansProgressing conceptual design eventually to detailed design which then involves • Process Design - conceptual design reports, basis of design and scope definition documentation, process descriptions & control philosophies, PFD’s, P&ID’s, process calculations, etc • Liaison/Coordination of Electrical & Instrumentation, Control & Automation, Civil, etc. Procurement Developing tender packages that have sufficient level of design that can be issued to contractors for tendering - scope description, technical specification, drawings, datasheets and Bills of Materials (BOMs) Review of tenders received and doing both commercial and technical adjudication. Project Execution management Firstly (and most importantly) is managing the Health and Safety of the project execution team. Ensuring that all work is conducted in a safe manner and that health and safety standards are met in terms of medicals, legal appointments, site inductions, etc. People Management:• Managing draughts-man outputs• Managing contracted design engineers (eg. Civil/ Electrical/Software)• Managing mechanical and electrical installation teams during execution delivery and installation• Managing and coordinating with Software System Integration engineers• Managing budget – this includes managing orders placed, installation periods and site variation orders. QCP Management• Design QCPs - HAZOPs, FAT of equipment, PAT, etx.• Installation QCPs - Welding Procedures, Weld mapping, Material Certificates, Pressure Testing, etc. Commissioning
