About Eric Laitat

Expert in environmental sciences for over 30 years, Eric LAITAT made first career in academia. Engineer + PhD in Environmental Sciences, he published over 100 scientific articles, feeds several websites on ecology, environment and sustainable development and manages Tribes on eco-design. He conducted many missions for international institutions and organizations. He is recognized as free-spirit and author, fully committed to sustainable development.He travelled all around the world in over 40 countries, from Belgium where he stays, via Rio and Kyoto, thanks to all pilot projects he lead or contributed to.In 2003, he founded EcoPilot, a consulting service, and puts all his efforts on local and regional actors, which support economic development and visibility across environmental breakthroughs, mostly on local development, sustainable construction and green tourism, as per his own holiday resort facility at EnerGite.The approach he recommends is first to share views with its customers on issues related to environmental sustainability. He is excellent in the use of EU and International instruments and funding mechanisms to help promoter and manage multiple solutions to reduce the environmental impact and carbon footprint.Eric analysed to date more than 450 eco-projects and he is an internationally recognized expert in environmental technologies and eco-design.
