"Training Warriors for Modern Day!" This is what Bushido Sei Shin Jitsu does for it's students. Conceptually, we teach what is coined as Old School Jujitsu; which has spawned Judo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Karate, Kickboxing, and MMA. We teach the skills needed for both Combat Sport and Self-Protection. As the Head of the Sei Shin Jitsu, Eric LaLone oversees.

LaLone is a NRA certified instructor. He uses his knowledge of both firearms and self-defense to teach students the necessary skills for concealed carry, practical shooting, and firearm's retention. All these courses subscribe to the fact that "The Gun is the Tool... YOU are the Weapon!"

As an independent instructor, Eric LaLone has been teaching and facilitating the After School Martial Arts program at CMCA, now The Vanguard School, since 2002. This makes him one of the longest serving educators at the Charter School. This dynamic program gives the students the self-confidence and leadership skills that are necessary to survive in todays.

Since 2003 Eric LaLone has worked with SFI to document recipients of workman's compensation. This included researching individuals and companies, setting up surveillance positions, using pretext to solicit additional information, following subjects in vehicles and on foot, and correctly filming subjects for court room evidence.

This company was the fore runner to The Defense Institute. As an independent company we were able to provide Mobile Training Teams around the state of Colorado to conduct seminars for Military and Law Enforcement. Once we moved into a permanent facility we transferred everything over to The Defense Institute.
