Classes are held at the elementary school level for children from Kindergarten to 6th grade. Some of the students that started as young children are now assistant instructors and fully recognized Black Belts.

He trained fighters for ring competition, coordinated travel, and performed all the duties for cornering fighters.This experience at The Institute of Martial Arts allowed him to successfully open The Defense Institute.

Enlistment into the US Army closed this chapter of his teaching.
