Directly supervised 135 personnel and managed 45 combat vehicles and equipment in excess of 50 million dollars. Conducted reconnaissance/surveillance and combat operations in support of counter-terrorism operations throughout Iraq. Responsible for the stability, rebuilding and security of 5 Iraqi villages, 3 border forts and over 100 square miles. Responsible for the recruiting, training, and employment of 3 Iraqi Security Force Battalions consisting of 300 personnel. Nominated by the squadron commander for the Draper Award- awarded to the number one company in mission readiness, safety, and unit discipline. During a 12 month deployment, maintained the squadron’s highest maintenance readiness rate, over 90%. Awarded the Bronze Star Medal.
