It includes 15 proprietary web-based apps focused on population health management.The mWellthXchange is a profile-driven app marketplace that integrates and aggregates balanced living apps and delivers a unified experience for consumers.Responsible for software architecture, security and HIPAA compliance. These apps used a distributed internet application architecture using REST, OAuth 2.0 and internet application integration.Guided multiple offshore teams to ensure they understood the architecture and reviewed work product to ensure it met architecture, performance, security and compliance requirements.Designed a five zone HA data center architecture to ensure multiple layers of isolation, and allow for different deployment and scaling strategies across public, administration, data integration, service and data storage tiers.The software and data center architecture successfully passed technical and HIPAA due diligence from investors and nationwide insurance companies.

With the emergence of mobile phone ubiquity and text messaging, healthimo translated Diabetech behavioral change protocols into asthma education and compliance, community wellness and diabetes programs delivered via text messaging. These were fully integrated programs using medical devices, wireless technology, sms messaging, education and provider visits to support behavior change in patients across all demographics. These programs were run with BCBS of Texas, Texas Medicaid and Children's Hospital of Dallas and showed significant clinical outcomes in multiple studies.Responsible for all technical aspects, including server software, text messaging systems, databases, storage, data center configuration, operational monitoring, vendor management, etc.Led the technology side of the HIPAA compliance effort for healthimo, implementing disk encryption on host and guest VMs, end to end TLS (https), secure authentication and authorization protocols, audits and compliance reporting.healthimo products used mobile wireless devices, behavioral change algorithms, and text messaging engagement in settings as diverse as home health care, hospital floors, clinical trials and individual patient care teams. Co-founder and CTO of Diabetech, LP. Diabetech pioneered connecting glucose meters to cell phone technology. Diabetech built several versions of the GlucoMON wireless device and invented the Automated Diabetes Management System, known as ADMS. ADMS put the GlucoMON technology into a system that allowed patients to effortlessly share their blood glucose data with their entire care team in real time, no matter where they were. The technology was later licensed for use in a commercial wireless glucose meter.Responsible for all technical aspects, including the GlucoMON mobile device hardware and software, server software, databases, storage, data center configuration, operational monitoring, vendor management, etc.Led a distributed global team to develop mobile wireless devices and a glucose meter docking station, ensuring HIPAA compliance, security, data integrity and architectural standards were met.
