I am a public policy professional with over 25 years of getting things done. I've been tasked in public sector, nonprofit management, and private enterprise to solve problems. Whether in coalition building, intergovernmental relations, policy development or strategic planning, I have brought results. I began as a volunteer community organizer after being asked by a community elder to help resolve quality of life issues. Through the years I have progressively been sought out to provide grassroots solutions and help formulate strategic initiatives to ever more complex problems. Each experience provides a problem solving lesson to be carried forward and applied where appropriate. From organizing a block association, a coalition of block associations, groups of volunteers for school board elections, co-managing legislative and mayoralty campaigns, tasked with fiduciary responsibility as a gubernatorial appointee to the largest free-standing health sciences institution in the U.S., providing strategic guidance and institutional knowledge to broad-based coalitions advocating and lobbying around issues of public interest at the local and state levels, to being a conduit for the voices and aspirations of marginalized and underrepresented peoples in the remotest areas of our global community I have met the challenge.
