Oversaw the daily operations of network manager, system administrators, helpdesk and communications systems and personnel. Ensured continual operations of all hospital IT equipment, infrastructure and applications, while following HIPAA security guidelines and performing regular audits. Created strategy and managed day to day implementation of clinical applications required for meaningful use stage one and stage two certifications. These included interfaces, Financial and patient billing, medication management and all clinical documentation systems. Created and maintained hospital long term technical plan. This included achievement of ARRA meaningful use objectives, 5010 requirements and other regulatory requirements. Led project team and managed implementation of Computerized Provider order entry campus wide. Established and maintained system-wide security protocols to include web browsing security, network intrusion security and Anti-virus systems. Created hospital wide disaster recovery and business continuance plans that have been tested and reviewed during several planned and unplanned disaster events.
