As a grain broker at Johnston's, I connected buyers with producers of many commodities, primarily grain. This position taught me the value of time and tact, and piqued my interest in sales. I enjoyed the challenge of connecting farmers with grain buyers, and learning the trade.I also sold Nitrogen Stabilizers and Plant Growth Regulators, which are the retail products offered directly by Johnston's. In addition, I sold Herbicides, Insecticides, and Fungicides.

From January to April 2018, my two student colleagues and myself were actively involved with Smith Bits, a Schlumberger company, for the duration of our fourth and final semester at SAIT.This project entails data mining 62 Smith Bit records from 156mm bits drilling 28 lateral sections of the Montney shale.
