Recent projects have included:- working within a team at Edinburgh-based Giraffe Consulting, developing and delivering the Smart Exporter 'Preparing to Export' Programme (P2E) to SMEs inexperienced in exporting, on behalf of Scottish Development International.- sundry business development projects with SMEs across the HIE region, in sectors as diverse as timber, sail-making, software used in oil and gas, web-based databases. Projects included company restructuring, acquisition, pre-fund-raising due diligence, guidance and help with commercial contract negotiation.- contractor to the Scottish Government, providing commercial 'due diligence' services to SMART award-winning enterprises within the life science sector (assessing their commercial potential and providing 'marketing support' - guidance on finding and engaging with customers, presenting their proposition, and securing orders.- undertaking initial market approach work for a Proof of Concept-funded project - Brainwave, a drug discovery assay to help pharma companies identify compound activity against diseases of the CNS.

Led SMART award-winning start up from School of Informatics, University of Edinburgh through first two rounds of angel investment funding from Braveheart Ventures. Edinburgh Robotics were developing a 'toolkit' of 'best-of-breed' software components to shorten time taken to develop software for mobile robots.
