During my time in this role, I had the chance to take on added leadership responsibility and become even more creative in the way I melded technologies and processes to alleviate hassle for our clients and their customers. Facilitating discovery sessions and performing end-to-end testing made up the bulk of my work as a technical lead at Lyons, and I’m proud of the solutions I crafted in this role.Some of the most notable of those solutions include: - Replatforming Ghirardelli to Magento and implementing multi-channel order management, online and in-store gift cards systems, and a custom search solution.- Implementing a custom “Design Your Own Jacket” solution using Scene7 and Magento.- Implementing one of the first responsive design sites on the Magento platform.

My key takeaway from my experiences unifying remote teams and designing architecture at Up and running is that being a true partner with your client and acting as an extension of their company goes a long way in driving the success of any project. Project highlights from my work in this role include:- An e-commerce and order management solution utilizing PHP based platforms and frameworks- A custom job posting and resume submission site for healthcare practitioners that facilitated rate negotiation, scheduling, and online payment.

Working at NRC was a change of pace because it was the first time I’d worked closely with UX teams, but I genuinely valued the chance to understanding their process and thinking. Discussing key tradeoffs with designers elevated the real estate auction websites I developed for the company, and in a serious way. One site accepted bids worth $12M+ within its first three months of implementation—you could say I’ll always be a believer of the importance collaboration across teams.

As a graduate student, I took on client projects including an application for a piano pedagogy program, a resume submission / review application for management consultants, an order tracking system for a small manufacturer, and a customized newsletter publishing CMS. After leading a team through hundreds of feature implementations, I became an ace in issue resolution and determining when a situation is truly critical.

In my first role with Compuware Corporation, I debugged VBA scripts and created sample applications to ensure the stability and effectiveness of test automations, providing custom scripting to resolve issues for multi-million dollar engagements.
