● Member of Senior Leadership team for a $5.5 to $6.5 million organization with 70 staff throughout a six county region. ● Managed a $170,000 annual Division budget and supervised one full time employee.● Directed Healthy Howard’s health policy and advocacy work. In this role I monitoring and researched policy issues affecting Healthy Howard and program areas, and developed and executed the organization's response through communications with policymakers. ● Developed and implemented the Healthy Howard’s external communications strategy with press, through social media channels and with other stakeholders. I developed I served as the lead 'on the record' spokesperson for the organization, wrote and distributed press releases and media advisories to ensure coverage of newsworthy items and events, and ensured other Divisions provided and published content for social media channels.● Managed execution of the Howard County Health Department’s Continuing Education on Childhood Obesity Prevention for Local Health Care Providers grant. This $155,000 multi-year grant included two successful CME events that each educated approximately 40 providers on the issue of childhood obesity and distribution of nearly 200 copies of The Childhood Obesity Prevention Toolkit for Howard County Maryland Healthcare Providers.
