Division Manager of Equity, Engagement & Inclusion with WSSC Water and my work here is to help position it as an anchor institution in the communities we serve, where diversity, equity, inclusion & environmental justice is systemically integrated into everything we do. Our new General Manager/CEO selected me to be one of a six-person Planning & Logistics Group, which was formed to establish a transition team. That team delivered a transition report that includes measurable action items and recommendations that are currently being implemented and operationalized. I recently led a cross functional organization-wide team to winning the Association of Metropolitan Water Agencies' inaugural Environmental Justice & Equity Utility Management Award. I am a current member of Leadership Montgomery's Racial Equity Action Leadership Inclusion Program and serve as the Chair of the Chesapeake Water Environment Association's DEI Committee. My previous experiences include championing the development and implementation of corporate-wide diversity programs for the world's fourth-largest airlines and serving as Director of Diversity for the Minnesota Department of Public Safety. I was also engaged to advise the City of Minneapolis' Department of Civil Rights on how best to enhance its Small & Underutilized Business Enterprises Program, where the goal was to increase the number of small and underutilized businesses contracting with the city.
