Eric McLean is an accomplished entrepreneur, team-builder and technologist with two decades of industry experience and domain knowledge in finance and technology. Founder of Peoplegarden, a new technology recruitment firm headquartered in Singapore and co-operating with financial services and technology clients across APAC.Founder of Ericanna, an Australian recruitment firm securing multi-year partnerships with the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (CBA) and Macquarie Bank, working with RREEF (subsidiary of the Deutsche Bank Group) and Insurance Australia Group (IAG, an umbrella holding company with many well-known insurance brands such as NRMA and Equity Insurance). Eric is the founder of Proaxis Inc., a Canadian technology talent acquisition firm working with CloudBlue and Ingram Micro Cloud to build high-performance teams within enterprise cloud-computing and hyper-scale digital commerce. Early in his career, Eric worked as a Solutions Analyst with the Energy Industries Council (Notting Hill, UK), Senior Developer with the International Capital Market Association (ICMA) in London - building the transaction exchange infrastructure used for operational risk management, trade matching and regulatory reporting for debt and equity securities, and as Application Architect with Perpetual Ltd - a national wealth manager and corporate trustee with $205B in funds under management. Eric was headhunted by the Chief Technology Officer at TD Bank in Canada and tasked to procure formidable new talent for TD’s executive leadership team within the Infrastructure Technology Solutions Group; directly recruiting TD Bank’s Head of Engineering and Vice President of Strategic Initiatives. Eric is also a longtime student, investor, proponent and subject matter expert in cryptocurrency and related technologies pertaining to blockchain, distributed ledger, crypto-exchanges and [de]centralized finance. He utilizes his broad professional experience and expansive network across geographies and cultures to stay abreast of innovations in the cryptocurrency sphere. He remains active and hands-on in this space utilizing dozens of crypto exchanges & services, and lending his expertise through advisory and collaboration. Eric studied Business Information Systems at Algonquin College of Applied Arts and Technology in Ottawa and completed the Applied Information Technology program with the Information Technology Institute (ITI).
