- Managed two teams of 6 engineers total in Cloud infrastructure and backend services. Defined year long OKRs and worked with engineers to plan epics, perform design reviews, and provide mentorship during implementation- Implemented several new initiatives to improve velocity, engineering best practices, and team culture and morale. This included making changes to our sprint planning, grooming, retrospectives, on-call processes, and project planning- Conducted weekly one-on-ones and ongoing meetings to help team members with engineering execution, knowledge sharing, and career development- Worked cross functionally with 5 application engineering teams to deliver infrastructure improvements, developer tooling, and a more efficient operational model- Led planning of two new product areas internationally. This involved working with product, legal, finance, cybersecurity, quality, and external partners in the pharmaceutical industry to define project priorities, timelines, and resource allocations

- Tech lead managing migration of existing applications to Kubernetes. Responsibilities included: project planning, communication with external and internal stakeholders, mentorship, and engineering contributions- Developed new production AWS environments using Infrastructure as Code with AWS CDK, VPC, RDS, Elasticache, Lambda, EKS, IAM, and Secrets Manager- Designed and implemented new CI/CD system using Argo CD- Maintained platform backend services

- tapd was an application to help college graduates find entry-level jobs. We developed mobile and web apps and backend services that aggregated jobs from different sources and presented them to users who could apply via the application- Led development of iOS job matching application- Contributed to Python and Ruby backend services

- Led research efforts across several sectors with a primary focus on technology, financials, and healthcare- Sourced, formulated, and researched new investment opportunities, reviewed financial disclosures, created new financial models, formulated target valuations, evaluated potential catalysts, and assessed industry and company merits and risks- Conducted in-person meetings with management teams to find new investment opportunities and refine views on existing positions

- Credit analyst on $2.25bn energy and retail portfolios. Energy sub-sectors included exploration and production, utilities, refining, and alternative energy. Retail sub-sectors included discount stores, department stores, apparel, supermarkets, softlines, and select specialty retailers- Researched industry and competitive landscape, authored financial models, conducted primary due diligence meetings and calls, reviewed legal documentation, and created investment memoranda- Maintained and revised financial models, developed forward projections, updated relative value tables, and produced quarterly monitoring reports for approximately 30 companies
