Manager of an international team at a start up business in Sea World, Shenzhen, China and acting director of the campus. Responsible for marketing, sales, client satisfaction, internal and external communication, quality assurance, purchasing, budgeting, and much more. As a manager of Carousel of Language's expansion in 2021, I was leading an intercultural team as we opened up a new version of our business model. This challenge gave me many opportunities to explore and grow in a multitude of areas as our business was expected to be self-sufficient. In this role, I rose to the occasion to perfect previously obtained skills and knowledge and also learn new skills to lead my team effectively. In this role I had to speak with employees and clients using both English and Chinese.

At the height of the pandemic in China, my career took a slight detour into an academic role. I used this opportunity to get out of my comfort zone and learn new strategies to adapt to a new environment and grow professionally. During this year, I took on a larger unofficial role and assisted our director in management of the company. I planned and hosted 2 marketing events for the company in English and Chinese. One of which, included public speaking in front of large crowds. At the end of the academic year, I returned to a role more closely related to my field and skillset after the lcoal economy recovered.

After my promotion from a foreign trainer to senior foreign trainer, I immediately began training for a director position. I became a Disney trainer and a Disney Beginnings trainer for onboarding employees. I lead weekly training and meetings for employees, created an employee recognition program, lead marketing projects for the releases of new Disney media, gave at least 20 presentations to clients per week, observed and gave feedback to employees based on KPIs, increased the use of technology and automated or simplified common tasks, managed the foreign staff, and created a new sales presentation and demo for clients that was extremely successful. I also came in top 10 for guest satisfaction nation wide. I served several months as acting director of the company operations for all of Shenzhen, China at the start of the COVID-19 pandemic outbreak in early 2020. During this uncertain time, I lead my team to be one of the most productive teams during the transition to remote work. I also took on an additional role as a member of a special projects team. During this time, I also lead a small team in developing a new sales presentation for clients that could be done online. The result of this project was very successful and lead the new sales of our company during lockdowns in China.

After joining the Walt Disney Company in Shenzhen, China I immediately sought out leadership opportunities and growth/development. At Disney I was supported by my management team and took on an advanced training plan spanning more than 8 months for promotion to a higher role. I was assigned an excellent mentor and worked hard and efficiently to learn what I needed to know for an effective promotion. During my time I was responsible for communicating directly with clients face-to-face multiple times per day, sending messages to our clients through the app, meeting with new and prospective clients and working with sales to close, give trainings to staff and clients on our products, and assist our director in their day to day duties. During this time I worked with an intercultural team that was new to life in China. I took on a leadership role as a new employee ambassador to help new employees with their transition from their home country to life in China, the relationship for each new employee spanned 3-6 months before arrival and several months after arrival. During this time I was also awarded as employee of the quarter. Although I was a new recruit my sales and renewal sales were always extremely high along with my client satisfaction.
