This creation was a milestone to become an approved US NAVY, LEVEL 1 contractor. LEVEL 1 is a classification the Navy assigns to pipe, valves and fittings whose failure can result in a loss of submarine. MIL-I-45208 is a government quality standard similar to ISO 9001.Composed and currently maintain the MIL-I-45208 compliant, Quality Assurance Manual that is the basis of the Quality Management System. Create comprehensive Project Quality Plans to conduct radiographic, dye penetrant and magnetic particle testing for valves destined for Nuclear Submarines.Audit suppliers using checklists of quality elements to determine if they are capable of meeting contract requirements.Established and currently maintain an Approved Vendor List supported by quality audits and semiannual performance reviews.Created and currently utilize a material traceability system that subcontracts with independent laboratories to perform chemical and mechanical tests on high alloy material to verify the properties on the certified material test reports.

Composed discipline specific areas of Quality Manual used to obtain ISO 9002 certification.Created an Approved Vendor List to comply with the ISO 9002 Quality Management System.Outlined technical criteria in purchase orders for machined, fabricated and cast components which met tight quality control, deadlines and budgets.
