About Eric Halverson
I have almost 25 years in the IT industry from Senior Security Engineer to Manager. I have a passion for working with others to deliver secure solutions that drive a business forward. In order to achieve those goals a collaborative approach is needed to achieve the best results. Right now I spend a lot of time working with our engineering team building out a DevSecOps culture. I also utilize a maturing Risk management program that the team here at GRX pioneered to help identify risk and effectively manage that risk. On top of all that I design and build out new security software from Tailscale to AWS services utilizing Terraform and more. One of my passions is passwordless authentication, we can no longer afford to rely on MFA any longer and moving to passwordless solutions is the best move for authentication any company can make.In 2017 graduated from SecureSet academy, an intense 750 hours of Cybersecurity training program to move into a Cybersecurity role such as Risk Analysis, Governance or Compliance . Prior to SecureSet I have worked in the IT field as a Desktop Support, Systems Engineer/Administrator, Networking, and Manager. I have supported systems from the data entry at the desktop to the server that provides the service. When I’m not working I’m a very proud father of two daughters, we enjoy going out to the lake and kayaking, swimming and fishing together. The girls love to catch fish and we love our time together outside in the summer.
