The Founder and former CEO of Marmot hired me to launch a clean-cook stove social enterprise in Rwanda. Immediately after graduating college, I packed my bags and moved to Rwanda for the adventure and real-world education of a lifetime. He and I launched a pilot operation to manufacture cookstoves and biomass fuel pellets, while I wrote the business plan targeting sophisticated impact investors. As a result of this work, Inyenyeri was awarded a $1 Million grant from the Africa Enterprise Challenge Fund business plan competition. Inyenyeri has since raised more than $20 million in grant and low-interest debt commitments.

Coordinated a team of 20 undergraduate and graduate students and two professional engineers in the design and construction of a small-scale water distribution system for a remote location in Rwanda. Designed and installed a 300W PV system at a high-school in Rwanda.
