Co-led the development of an Electron host for Epic’s primary web application on macOS. Engineered a multi-platform solution utilizing .NET 6 and Electron, emphasizing code reuse from the Windows client, compile-time feedback for developers, and minimizing maintenance overhead for an additional client. Additionally, gathered requirements for future macOS integrations during the initial groundwork phase.

Designed and led the project to create Slingshot, Epic’s application for surfacing integrations on Windows endpoints when Epic’s other applications are virtualized as published applications. Planned and set the overall design direction for 17 sub projects spanning 4 separate teams. Personally developed the virtual channel communication infrastructure using VMware Horizon Client Partner APIs and Citrix ICA Client Object APIs (implemented in C#).

Responsible for Epic's application for creating client-side integrations with third party software. Led the team in modernizing speech recognition, authentication, and PACS integrations by implementing and extending FHIRcast in Epic's new Electron application, Hyperdrive. Also managed several relationships with third party vendors to facilitate collaboration and better support our mutual customers. When not working on client side integrations, I spent the majority of my time advising other teams at Epic on how to approach new integrations.

Responsible for a team of developers on Epic's front-end billing application. We worked on several projects to migrate the application from a VB6 based thick client to a web application (custom C# and TypeScript stack). Additionally responsible for balancing the team's workloads, prioritizing projects, and staying on top of legacy bugs.

The utility is used for moving structured data between different instances of Epic and plays a critical role in deploying upgrade and install packages to Epic's customers. Additionally, worked on several projects to improve Epic's core indices - enabling Epic's community members to quickly access patient records at scale.
