Technical Program Management: Led the delivery of mechanical and electrical engineering support to a surgical robotics company. Oversaw tasks spanning design and engineering of fixtures to support test and characterization, developing Design Verification strategies, conceptualizing and building a storage solution for the robotic system, creating physical test platforms for simulated procedures, and supporting data collection and analysis. Founding co-lead of PA’s Technical Project Management Working Group, a global community supporting and educating ~100 colleagues in TPM best practices.Capability Building: Consulted as a human factors and systems engineering expert, performed technical work, and shaped business development to incorporate human factors engineering.

Product Management: Founded the Monarch® program, an application of Draper’s navigation technology that extends the benefits of registered Augmented Reality (AR) to austere operational environments. Grew Monarch® over 5 years from concept to a $7.5M portfolio. Served as product manager developing a HW/SW Mixed Reality platform tailored to multiple customer domains. Responsible for setting vision, defining user requirements, translating user needs into engineering requirements, capturing new business, and leading project execution. At peak, work exceeded 13 FTEs across 20+ multi-disciplinary staff. Coalesced a leadership team of engineering leads and technical program managers. Formalized processes for leveraging resources and knowledge across the program.Technical Expertise: Designed and evaluated systems in which mission performance is driven by the physical and cognitive capabilities and limitations of people. Supported internally- and externally-funded programs which spanned modeling and enhancing human-systems technology in operational domains; deploying methods to improve human-machine teaming with autonomous systems; and, defining and assessing the impacts of physical and cognitive workload.Mentorship: Co-advised a Draper Fellow (MIT/U.S. Army, 2016-2018), Master’s thesis titled, “The Effect of a Lower-Body Exoskeleton on Physical and Cognitive Warfighter Performance.”

Collaborated with technical and organizational leaders across Draper's Complexity Solutions Division to conceptualize, architect, and deliver next generation solutions for our customers and end users. Worked with division leadership to formulate a technology roadmap guiding our offerings to current programs and to future opportunities. Partnered with Draper’s program offices to learn and accommodate customers’ needs, as well as increase customers’ awareness of our work. Formed external partnerships with small businesses, government agencies, non-profits, and universities to grow our technical capabilities and transition our solutions.Continued to lead and support programs addressing Human Systems Integration challenges across various technical and operational domains.

Capability Development: In 2013, led the development of one of Aptima’s core technical capabilities. Oversaw the growth of a $3.3M portfolio of projects that focused on the design, development, and use of techniques and technologies that measure, assess, and provide actionable feedback on trainee performance and training system performance.Project Leadership: Simultaneously managed multiple projects, worked directly with customers to ensure understanding of program objectives, and guided technical work to meet those objectives. Managed multidisciplinary teams that spanned all of Aptima’s divisions and all office locations and mentored junior team members.Operational Proficiency: Worked across commercial and military domains with a specific focus on undersea warfare. Connected with the operational community through various contexts, on military bases, during training exercises, and while aboard platforms both on shore and at sea.
