Current• Lead a team of 20 POS (Point of Sale) support specialists, QA analysts, and project managers across the US, Latin America, and the Caribbean, ensuring the highest quality service and projects.• Provide weekly updates and feedback directly to senior management.• Heading up the implementation of Toshiba’s Elera POS solution, with PriceSmart being Toshiba’s first customer in Latin America to utilize the system.• Have kept the current (legacy) POS solution in full operation, despite the dissolution of our former POS vendor company (Omnico).• Worked with Accounting and Operations teams to implement Electronic Invoicing in multiple countries (e.g. El Salvador, Dominican Republic).• Overseen the openings of 10 new PriceSmart warehouse clubs thus far, with no IT-related delays or major setbacks.• Helping to mature PriceSmart’s processes by implementing new standards of reporting for projects and support ticketing.• Increased transparency among IT department leaders by establishing a bi-weekly intra-departmental forum for high-level review of projects and team priorities, including POS, ERP, Ecommerce, Infrastructure, and others.• Created IT Change Authority Board for review and sign-off of all IT work scheduled for production deployment.• Actively working to implement QA automation for POS and other IT teams.• Established quarterly goal reviews for all POS team members in order to help them stay on track with their goals throughout the year, as well as helping them to create more substantive year end personal reviews.
