My name is Eric Newberry, and I am from Batavia, Illinois. I currently attend Indiana University majoring in marketing with plans to add a minor in sports management. My interest in these fields come from my mom who works as a consultant for the company ADP, my grandpa who is a business guru and my own athletic interests.My academic and career goals overall consist of building a foundational experience at a large firm in the golf industry and eventually branching out into a more entrepreneurial role.Some skills I have that would go well within this career path are that I work well with others, and that I am persuasive, logical and dedicated. I gained these skills through multiple life experiences and have worked hard to develop them because they are very important and valuable to me. For example, I started a lawn service with a high school friend of mine for a few summers that ended up becoming a small five-figure business.
