3D Printing Lab

Forge Process/Manufacturing Engineer• Supported process for a start-up forging operation in the aerospace industry• Successfully increased forging throughput from $250k/wk to $1000k/wk within a three week period utilizing planning improvement and problem solving techniques• Quickly became a technical leader and subject matter expert for the tooling and die department as well as the forging department including 5,600 ton and 33,000 ton hydraulic presses• Conducted manufacturing capacity planning studies of forge dept and die shop Feb 2013-Oct 2013 Die Shop Supervisor• Completed Six Sigma Greenbelt Certification (June 2013) with a projected project savings of $50,000 annually• Supervised a diverse team of 10 members including CNC and manual machinists, inspectors, and welders in order to accomplish goals and support the forge and heat treat departments• Completed Supervisor Training Program through Savannah Technical College• Managed tooling/die budget of $3.5 million utilizing ERP system (TROPOS)• Analyzed engineering blueprints for manufacturability and ability to assemble

• Spent three semesters at one of Harley-Davidson’s remote test facilities• Designed a new method of measuring motorcycle alignment and geometry that will be implemented company-wide• Performed full vehicle and component testing to find 3D center of gravity and moment of inertia using high precision instruments and analyzing data collected from eDAQ• Worked closely with mechanics, technicians, and engineers to complete tasks• Manufactured parts to make tests more accurate and efficient
