Hello everyone, my name is Eric and I am graduating from Indiana University in December 2024. I am incredibly privileged to learn the foundations of accounting as a student in the Kelley School of Business' top-ranked accounting program. During my time at the university, I have completed coursework pertaining to financial accounting, tax, auditing, information systems, and business analytics. Equally as important as the subjects taught by my degree program are the effective communication skills and business professionalism practices which I have been developing since I first began my college education in 2020. I am currently an accounting intern at Withum, a firm that specializes in advisory, tax, and audit services. Last summer, I interned at Mott MacDonald, an international consulting firm specialized in global engineering and development. My internship opportunities have provided me with fantastic mentorship and networking events which have greatly shaped my knowledge about the accounting industry. I am greatly interested in financial fraud detection and understand the roles of the various fields within the industry. In order to launch my career, I am seeking experience in the auditing field. I am also driven to sit for the CPA exam, and would greatly appreciate a company who is willing to help support me while I aspire to become a true industry professional.Aside from my professional development, one of the most important things about me is my passion for baseball. I am an avid watcher of the sport and enjoy pitching in my spare time. I love learning about baseball statistics and the biomechanics associated with pitching. To further my knowledge of the sport, I have been a member of the Baseball and Sabermetrics Club at Indiana University. During the school year, we hold weekly meetings to discuss baseball, host guest speakers, and understand the work conducted by MLB front offices and sports agencies. I strive to one day combine my interest in the sport with my career path.
